カップヌードルは21年6月から、プラスチック減量の削減のため従来の「フタ止めシール」を廃止し、新形状の「Wタブ」を採用している。
Wタブは、シールがなくてもフタをしっかり止められるよう、開け口をふたつに増やしたもの。並んだ開け口がネコの耳のように見えることから、フタの裏面にはネコの顔がプリントされている。
その愛らしさから「可愛すぎる！」「絶対買います」と絶賛されていたWタブだが、SNS上では可愛らしいネコの顔を期待して購入したところ、虚空を見つめたような顔をした「チベットスナギツネ」が出てきた……というツイートが相次いでいた。
カップヌードルはこの「チベットスナギツネ」プリントのフタについて、実はレアなプリントだったことを明かした。
「すでに発見された方も多いですが、こちら『チベットスナギツネ』といいまして、遭遇率は6%となっております。

ツイートには愛らしいネコ柄のフタに混じり、虚無顔で涎をたらすチベットスナギツネ柄のフタの写真が添えられている。
